HGMS Word of the Day
- Pickup the word of the day at the sign-in sheet and have a fabulous JAGUAR day!
- Find Power point with daily word of the day hgms@dadeschools.net/reading
- Share word of the day with students every morning during Homeroom
- Require students to keep a Vocabulary Composition Notebook
- Ask students to write down word of the day in their notebooks and choose the sentence that helps them remember the meaning of the word.
- Vocabulary notebooks will be checked by Homeroom teachers every Friday.
HGMS Common Graphic Organizers
- Use a common Graphic Organizer per month in order to help students make connection between cross curricular content.
- Students will be informed that for the whole month, they must use this method of organization to make sense of all their notes/work in all their classes.
- teachers from ALL disciplines will reinforce the use of this method of organization in class.
- Monthly graphic organizers will be shared with faculty at the faculty meeting.
